FOX LIFE TO LAUNCH ON GOtv IN OCTOBER

A bold and entertaining Pan-African channel will offer fresh local content along with an eclectic and exciting mix of US dramas, comedies and unscripted programming considered one of the world’s leading destinations for scripted and unscripted entertainment, FOX Life, will be launching on the 3rd of October on GOtv Channel 120.

According to Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, GM, Multichoice Ghana, “as part of the new channel, an additional 954 hours of fresh new programming will be added to the schedule over the coming months, focused on localised storytelling, created specifically for viewers.”

FOX Life will have the best of Hollywood in the form of Pitch and Atlanta, Turkish and Brazilian Telenovelas, scripted and unscripted local content as well as dramas. Some of the lifestyle and drama shows will be coming from across the African continent like Maliposa, a Zambian drama and Wrath from Nigeria.
There is also an exciting show on young Nigerian-born DJ Cuppy who goes on an ambitious tour of eight countries across Africa. In a male dominated field DJ Cuppy has made inroads and describes her sound as “Neo Afrobeats”!

The new channel, will not only be available to GOtv Plus subscribers on Channel 120 but also on all bouquets on DStv says Cecil Sunkwa-Mills. The channel will also sit alongside an extensive FNG portfolio of channels in Africa, which includes FOX, National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). MultiChoice is bringing back the Nigerian version of the series after 10 years. It had announced after the last edition of BBA that each African country will stage the show henceforth. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car. Sponsored by PayPorte, the program will run for 78 days, starting 22 January 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised launch and end on 9 April 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised finale.
