BET 2020 Awards: Show Set To Air Sunday Night On GOtv & DStv

EMIRATES SKYCARGO CONTINUES TO CONNECT GHANA TO GLOBAL MARKETS

Emirates SkyCargo has grown its operations in Africa to include Accra, and Ghanaian businesses can now benefit from weekly cargo flights from Accra to Dubai starting 25 June, 2020. The airline has established this short term schedule which utilizes the belly hold capacity on its wide body Boeing 777-300 ER passenger aircraft. Cathrine Wesley, Emirates’ Country Manager Ghana said, “As an extremely agile and customer-focused business, we are very committed in supporting the Ghanaian economy and helping local businesses maintain continuity by keeping their supplies running across essential industries.” Emirates SkyCargo started its operations in Ghana in 2004.  Emirates SkyCargo has helped import a variety of goods including mobile phones, garments, leather, beverages and personal effects. It has also facilitated the export of local produce including fresh and cut fruits. . Emirates SkyCargo is now operating scheduled cargo flights to over 80 global destinations every week.

Vodafone Reassures Customers Of Data Security And Rejects Misleading Privacy Claims

Our attention has been drawn to some information circulating on social media and online news websites concerning ‘breaches’ in the privacy rights of Vodafone Ghana customers. This information is a gross misrepresentation of the facts. In March 2020, The President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, passed an Executive Instrument (E.I. 63) that mandated the mobile network operators, including Vodafone Ghana to submit subscriber information known as call data records (CDRs) to the National Communications Authority (NCA). This formed part of the government’s contact tracing initiative in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. All the mobile network operators complied with the E.I 63. The Executive Instrument was subsequently challenged by a customer, who filed an application at the High Court for an injunction to stop all mobile network operators from sharing his data with the National Communications Authority (NCA). Hollard Launches First Virtual Insurer Via ChatInsure Product

Hollard Insurance launches the first virtual insurance chatbot in Ghana with the goal to make insurance more accessible to Ghanaians via popular messaging channels such as WhatsApp. The innovative product, called Hollard ChatInsure is currently hosted on WhatsApp, by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot, called “Araba Hollard.” Araba is the first virtual insurer in the country offering end-to-end insurance services all within the messaging application and without human intervention. Users simply save her number, 0242 426 412 and message her on WhatsApp to access her services. At launch, Araba offers renters and homeowners, Home and Home Contents insurance. Mask4All Campaign To Mobilize Face Masks For The Vulnerable

The Coalition of Event Managers and Suppliers, an interest group of professionals in Ghana's events ecosystem, are starting a campaign to contribute to ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts. Named Mask4All, the initiative according to the group, is to help garner support in whichever form towards combating the pandemic.
