Video: Gospel Entrant Bernice Bliss Features Kofi Kinaata On Debut Single ‘None Compared God’

The Ghanaian Gospel music industry has a new entrant; Bernice Bliss. A firebrand dedicated to spreading the word of God through music, Bernice who has over the past few years nurtured her talent is out with her debut single None Compared God. Just like the title (None Compared God), the urban pop song which features Kofi Kinaata, winner of the Hybrid Song of the Year winner at the just ended Ghana National Gospel Music Awards seeks to exalt and glorify God for his unflinching love towards humanity. With a very catchy hook, Kofi Kinaata adds a touch of excellence with his Fante infused rap style. Speaking to the press, Bernice Bliss explained the choice of Kofi Kinaata saying; ‘Kofi Kinaata was a perfect fit for the song hence reaching out to him and he didn’t hesitate”. Actress Yvonne Okoro on Wednesday  paid an amount of GHC26,810.45  to clear medical bills for some 13 needy mothers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra. The mothers  could not go home  after being delivered of their babies because they could not afford to pay their bills. Some of them spent more than two months at the maternity ward of the hospital  while others spent two weeks.   One of them was owing the hospital to close to GHC 8000. Yvonne, together with her sisters, Elizabeth Okoro and Roseline Okoro, visited the maternity ward on Wednesday to settle the bills so the mothers could finally take their babies home.

VGMA 2020 Calls For Entry Into The Unsung Category

Organizers of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards announces to underground musicians and the general public that entries for the “Unsung” category of the Award scheme is officially opened. The organizers who made this notice in an official statement copied to Cypress Ghana , explained that those who want to nominate underground acts should tag a video or picture/ Image of the artiste with the hash tag #VGMA21unsung on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. The deadline for the Unsung category nominations is Sunday, 23rd February, 2020. The Unsung category by the organizers is intended to serve as a launching pad to project artistes who are doing well but have not had the mainstream exposure.
