Hollard Ghana Donates 100k To Covid-19 Fund To Support Combat Efforts

Insurance group, Hollard Ghana, has donated GHS100,000 to the COVID-19 Fund established by the Government to urgently finance efforts to contain the spread of the virus currently ravaging the world. Hollard is one of the first to respond to the President’s call for private sector support, touting the action as part of its purpose to enable a better future for all. The donation was received by the Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Opare in the presence of the Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare, Managing Director, Hollard Insurance, Daniel Boi Addo, Managing Director, Hollard Life, Nashiru Iddrisu, and Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Hollard Ghana, Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo. Accepting the cheque, Madam Opare thanked Hollard Ghana saying the Government was pleased the company was one of the first to immediately respond to its urgent plea for funds to combat COVID-19 while taking care of the vulnerable.

HERONA COMPANY LIMITED AND 3FOUNDATION DONATE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO 37 MILITARY HOSPITAL

Vodafone Continues To Support Ghanaians During Lockdown

Vodafone has assured Ghanaians of its continued support following Government’s decision to lockdown the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions as part of measures to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus. The Telco recognises that it has a critical role to play as an essential service provider during this pandemic and will therefore maintain reduced operating hours of key Retail Shops in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions. Starting Monday 30th March 2020, selected Vodafone Retail Shops in these regions will be open, from 9am to 2pm, every Monday to Saturday. These include Cantonments, Dansoman, A&C Mall, Achimota, Junction Mall and Madina Retails Shops in the Greater Region; as well as the Kumasi Mall and Adum Retail Shops, in the Ashanti Region. Covid-19: Indique Hair Shuts Down US Boutiques

World leading virgin hair extension sales and distribution company Indique hair has shut down all its sixteen boutiques in the United States, following the rise in positive cases of the novel Covid-19 virus in the country. The company however assured its worldwide customers of excellence sales and delivery service via its official website. Co-Founder and Creative Director of Indique Hair Ericka Dotson made this known via her official Instagram page on Monday. This Is Not Goodbye: Emirates Ground Crews Give An Emotional Send-off To Last Flights

Emirates ground crews around the world have bid farewell to their last operating flights back to Dubai. EK 005 to London Heathrow, which departed at 1605hrs on 24 March was the last flight to take off from Dubai. EK 262 from Sao Paulo, which landed at 2235hrs (local time) was the last flight to arrive on 25 March into Dubai. Emirates' outstation airport teams from 39 stations including Prague, Newark, Seoul, London Stansted and Zurich devotedly sent of their last passenger flights before the suspension took effect. Over the next weeks Emirates' operational teams will focus on preparing for service resumption. As per UAE government directives to protect communities against the spread of COVID-19, Emirates has temporarily suspended all passenger flights from 25 March 2020. The airline will resume passenger services as soon as it is possible to do so. LET’S UP OUR GAME; 39% OF PARENTS ALLOW THEIR CHILDREN TO SKIP NIGHT BRUSHING

To live healthily, children and adults must all form the habit of brushing twice a day, especially at night. Sadly, nearly 39% of Ghanaian parents (4 in 10 parents), have let their child go to bed without brushing their teeth at night. Interestingly, 6 out of 10 children felt pain in their mouth last year. Brushing Teeth Not Part Of Bedtime Routine For Millions Of Children

A third of children around the world are failing to brush their teeth twice a day, according to new global study commissioned by Pepsodent and released to mark World Oral Health Day. Based on this research, a concerning issue has emerged: a failure to brush at bedtime, something that is proven to cause health and social issues in children, for both the short and long term. 5,000 parents and children were surveyed across eight countries, revealing that 30% of children do not brush twice a day and one in four do not brush their teeth every night. Those children who skip the bedtime brush are twice as likely to have poor oral health as those who brush every night.  They are also over 40 per cent more likely to experience frequent oral pain, making them miss twice as many days at school.
