The Zylofon Music –recording artist just completed the shooting of her yet-to-be-released single, ‘Nana’, a video directed by Zylofon Music in-house video director, Director_Abass, - is heavily hinged at promoting the rich African culture in such an appealing manner. Shot at the popular Osu Castle, which used to be the seat of Government now turned into a tourist site – the songstress got some A-list showbiz personalities to star in the video – including entertainment stalwart and politician, Fritz Baffour, the legendary singer/actress, Paulina Oduro, the most decorated artist in Ghana, Sarkodie, and the venerated international music star, Meiway.

The third edition of Starr FM’s Church Olympics comes off this Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at the El- Wak Sports Stadium. The annual event will witness over ten renowned churches compete each other for honours and will be engaged in pre-games aerobics with renowned physical instructors. Registered churches will participate in games such as, basketball, football, table tennis, sack race among others with all participants going home with souvenirs from sponsors. The churches registered so far for the event are; Reign of Jesus Chapel, Apostolic Faith Mission, Winners Chapel, Over Comers General Intercessory, Osu Ebenezer Presby Church, King of Zion Ministries, St. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, The Lord’s Pentecostal International Church Interested Churches who want to participate in the one day fun filled event are expected to do so before June 2.

One of Africa's main acts for this year’s Ghana Meets Naija concert, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid made history on Saturday (26/05/2018) when he performed to some 20, 000 people at The 02 Arena, London, which has also hosted the likes of Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry in the past. The historic feat happened months after he sold out the Royal Albert Hall, also in London. Dubbed Afrorepublik, it also hosted other mainstream acts including Mr Eazi, who is on this year’s Ghana Meets Naija bill. Over 5000 people are expected to attend the June 9 event at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, La, Accra. Dubbed the “Rescue Mission”, this year’s Ghana Meets Naija will witness  performances from Stonebwoy, who is famed for his outstanding live gigs, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Patapaa, Fancy Gadam, and Mayorkun, organisers say. A NEW breed of Christians determined to use Christianity to raise God-fearing politicians, businessmen, music and film stars, have emerged at St. John’s, a suburb of Accra. Following the recent unveiling of calendar of activities for the 2018 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Accra, Ghana, which included a courtesy visit to the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by officials of African Union, International Committee of AFRIMA and African music stars, entry submissions for the annual continental music awards opens today, Friday, May 25 in commemoration of Africa Day. From May 25 to August 1, 2018, the 5th edition of AFRIMA will be receiving on its online portal www.afrima.org , works, songs and videos recorded or produced by African music professionals and publicly released within the eligibility period of August 1, 2017 to August 1, 2018. These entries will compete for possible nomination by the AFRIMA Jury in one or more of the 36 categories of the awards. Gospel artiste Stevein Oil has released his much-awaited ‘Nobody Dey’ single. The song is themed on giving adoration to God and extoling his attributes. It also emphasises the fact that there is no one greater than God, hence he deserves to be worshipped. ‘Nobody Dey’ was produced by Enock Owuraku Kissi and mixed Shadrack Yawson, popularly known as Shaa. The release of the song also comes with its video which was shot by Skyweb. The song is expected to strengthen people’s faith in God and acknowledge his greatness. Stevein Oil started music about 10 years ago but has been actively involved in gospel ministration for the past 4 years.

The annual Ghana Meets Naija Mega concert, put together by Empire Ghana, has constantly proven a sought-after platform for the West African nations to play out the musical sibling rivalry that exists between them.  It is therefore no wonder that, soon after the launch, rapper  Solomon Adu Antwi better known as Yaa Pono, who is billed to represent the Ghana side of matters, has started the ceremonial “big talk”. The fourth “Forum for Strategic Impact” has begun. It is organized by the Women for Africa Foundation in collaboration with Yale University with backing from Banco Santander via Santander Universidades. New Haven, May 11th 2017. In May 2015, ten African women political leaders from five African countries inaugurated an area for debate at Yale University to delve into big global matters and reflect on leadership, improvement in governance and the need to bolster our democracies from the perspective of equality and full participation from women. The World Trade Centre Accra (WTCA) has concluded a 8-day trade mission to the Netherlands as part of its effort to promote trade and investment between the two countries and advance Ghanaian business interests in the region.  The trade delegation comprised of 26 representatives from Ghanaian businesses and government agencies.  The successful trade mission provided the attendees with an opportunity to interact with Dutch companies to learn innovative technologies in the water, energy, health, food and agriculture, and real estate sectors.  It also provided them with access to B2B matchmaking sessions which resulted in three participants signing business deals on the spot.  The trade mission took place during the World Trade Centers Association General Assembly Meeting held in Leeuwarden and Amsterdam, Netherlands from April 22-28, 2018.

The annual Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA) organized to celebrate distinguished film makers will hold June 2, 2018 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. The red carpet starts at 4:00 pm while the show starts at 7:30pm. With barely three weeks to the event, the organizers say the event will bring together film makers across the continent to celebrate and award deserving film makers. Meanwhile the nomination announcement will be held in Cote d’Ivoire on the 20th of May 2018 where the various categories of the qualified films will be announced. The 8th annual Ghana Meets Naija mega concert, widely touted as the biggest West African show, will be launched 3pm today live on Live 91.9FM. Put together by Empire, the launch comes off at the First Atlantic Bank, #47 Patrice Lumumba Road, Airport Residential Area, (Opposite National Service Secratariat), Accra. This year’s edition, dubbed the “Rescue Mission”, has been hugely anticipated for several weeks, and is expected to parade bona fide artists from Ghana and Nigeria.  Last year, the event saw Shatta Wale being crowned king.  It remains to be seen if he retains the title this year. News personality and producer of the award winning current affairs show, State of Affairs Serwaa Amihere has been named as the new host of GHOne TV's Saturday morning soccer highlights show CHEERS as both international and local leagues enters their fierce seasons. Serwaa Amihere takes over from ace award-winning broadcaster and communication strategist, Nana Aba Anamoah who has hosted the show since its inception a year ago. The new season of ‘CHEERS’ will feature in-depth interviews with sports pundits as well as novices of the game from its home studios at the Platinum Place in Accra. The weekend show kicks off on Saturday May 5, with guests from different sectors of corporate as well as entertainment world; with little or no emphasis on sports experience.
