#SPOT THE BUS! 2017 Miss Ghana Audition Happening Now In ‘Koftown’

The exquisite looking garden of Hotel Freden in the Koforidua, capital of the Eastern Region is currently filled with an impressive number of beautiful ladies who are agog with the prospect of making it to the finale of Miss Ghana Silver Jubilee/Miss Ghana 2017. Auditions for the Eastern Region is underway keenly and the ambience is filled with a sense of enthusiasm, vim and purpose as Exclusive Events Ghana Ltd, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture and Ghana60YearsOn Planning Committee – start the last leg of auditions across the regions. The panel of judges for the Koforidua session comprises of popular TV/Radio personality, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Actor/Director, Fiifi Coleman and Mr. Ghana Brans Ambassador, Archbald Acquaye.

MISS MALAIKA GHANA 2017 DELEGATES OFFICIALLY UNVEILED

It was a dream come true for some of the few ladies who were selected as delegates for the 15th edition of the Miss Malaika Ghana beauty pageant. The selected 16, were gracefully introduced to a cross section of press men and the general public at an official launch ceremony at the Accra Mall on Tuesday August 22. The official unveiling of the beautiful and intelligent 16 delegates was flawlessly hosted by Berla Mundi and Anita Akuffo, both past delegates of the Miss Malaika Ghana pageant. The night saw soothing and exciting performances from Kurl Songz, current MTN Hitmaker winner.

Accra Mall Hosts Fashion Show On August 25

Accra Mall, the city’s most visited retail center, is set to host the inaugural Accra Mall Fashion Weekend. The event will take place on 24th and 25th August. Over 10 fashion retailers will take to the runway to showcase fashion forward pieces available at Accra Mall. The weekend event will be curated by Glitz Africa, and will kick off on 24th August with a beauty lounge event headlined by Mac Cosmetics, the official make-up sponsor. The weekend will wrap with a grand finale fashion show on 25th August at 6 PM. Local fashion brand Charlotte Privé will also showcase their latest collections. “Many times, I find people don’t really know the variety of offerings [and] retail experiences we have here at Accra Mall. Call it the battle of the most talented and you wouldn’t be far from the truth as it was well displayed last Friday August 18th during the Auditions of the 6th season of MTN Hit Maker. A little over 200 young talents converged at the Charterhouse Studios to battle out for a slot  and hopefully proceed to the next stage of the competition. With over two thousand five hundred entries from all over Ghana and as far as Nigeria, Sierra Leone and even the UK, the search team who also happen to be the seasoned beat makers, Richie Mensah, Magnum and DJ Breezy were more than elated to see and hear so many talents with one dream – to become Ghana’s next MTN Hitmaker after Kurlsongs who won in 2016.

Actress Baby Blanche To Premiere Movie Trophy In October

After taking a break from the movie industry, actress Baby Blanche is back and set to premiere her first self-produced movie. Ghana Oscars Committee Calls For Ghanaian Movie Submissions

The foreign Language Oscar selection committee has announced the opening of entries for the 90th Oscars. The board chair Professor Linus Abraham made the announcement in Accra yesterday. Filmmakers with films that meet the requirements are encouraged to submit via film freeway and additionally submit 20 DVDs copies to the receiving desk at the NAFTI Library between the hours of 9am to 2pm. Submitting films will only be considered if they were produced between October 1 2016 and September 30th 2017 with a 7 day theatrical run in a commercial theater for profit.
