Insurance Companies Can Mitigate The Carnage On Our Roads

Recent statistics of road accident and fatalities resulting from them are very worrying. The social and economic impact of these accidents on families and the nation at large cannot be overemphasised. One of the least heard among the list of those who bear the brunt of these accidents are the insurance companies. The fact is that for almost every one of these accidents, insurance companies open files to undertake a contractual duty of paying compensations and reimbursing for medical expenses and other costs associated with these accidents. They deal with the injured victims and families of those who unfortunately die through these accidents. When accidents cause deaths and injuries, not much can be done to restore the human losses and it is common to see people lose the use parts of their bodies after such accidents. Most others also either suffer a diminution in their ability to work or lose it completely and it is in such instances that compensations paid by insurance companies come

Hollard Ghana, The Country’s Favourite Insurer Disrupting Insurance With Insuretech

The conservative Ghanaian insurance industry has undergone several disruptions in the past decade driven by an age of immediacy, new trends and fierce competition. Customers’ needs, knowledge and expectations have expanded exponentially and consequently the industry must extend beyond its core service propositions if it is to retain and acquire new customers. Given the industry’s slow nascency, dire penetration rates and ever reluctant nature of policyholders, insurers must innovate to succeed in enabling better futures for their customers. Indeed, there is progress; example being the recently introduced game-changing Motor Insurance Database which has facilitated a consolidated database while mitigating insurance fraud. As fintech spurred new life into the banking sector, so can insuretech transform insurance in Ghana. Thankfully, one insurance group, Hollard Ghana, is rising to the challenge with its unconventional disruptions so far centered around digital microinsuran

Wild Cards Revealed! Maria and Pere Survive First BBNaija Shine Ya Eye Live Eviction Show

Ebuka took on the first BBNaija Shine Ya Eye live eviction show Sunday night, but there were no goodbyes – just surprises! After the ladies and gentlemen of the house settled in last Sunday, Biggie threw in the second twist of the season. He told the housemates that two from among them were Wild Cards and they had a week to figure them out. If they successfully did this, the two Wild Card housemates would be evicted immediately. Failure to do so meant they get to remain in the competition and battle it out for the grand prize. The housemates investigated, questioned, and tried hard to figure out who they were all week long. The viewers were not left out in the guessing game until Thursday when Biggie revealed that Maria and Pere were the Wild Cards. During their Diary Room sessions Sunday afternoon, majority of the housemates put forward Liquorose and Jaypaul as their prime suspects, to the amusement of viewers. However, the cat was let out of the bag when Ebuka asked the Wild Cards
