Ghana’s biggest night in fashion and music, Rhythms on Da Runway takes place tonight. The Christiansborg (Osu) Castle today hosts designers from across the world, and some of Africa’s biggest music stars for a one-night-only experience. Organizers say the event will offer an avenue for local and international fashion designers to showcase the beauty of Ghanaian and African fashion. This year’s will feature works from Yartel-Ghana, Ophelia Crossland-Ghana, Mudi-Nigeria, Abrantie (Ghana), Palse-South Africa, Velma’s Accessories-Ghana, Jésu Ségun-The Uk, Nineteen57, Lumiere Couture-Ghana, Stephhapp Gh with music from Pat Thomas, Rex Omar, Stonebwoy, Cina Soul, David Bolton, Steve Bedi, Epixode, Pauline Oduro, Joe Mettle, and Kuami Eugene.

The Fantasy Dome will come alive on September 7, 2019 when the four finalists of Citi TV’s music talent show ‘Voice Factory’ prove their mettle to win the ultimate prize. With support from the Musical Lunatics, Idara, Cleck Boyson, Ayjay Sam and Araba will be battling it out for the coveted title and the cash prize of GHc 10, 000 on the day. Prolific Ghanaian based Nigerian singer and song writer ‘6 Kiss’ has disclosed that his aim for making music is to make listeners and music lovers smile. According to him, he wants everyone that listens to his music to immediately have a smile on their faces and be happy when they are not even in thier good mode. The singer whose real name is Vincent Ebruchehor moved to Ghana in 2015 but has been doing music professionally since 2013. The 2019 submissions which opened worldwide on May 15 exceeded the 2018 submissions by 148 entries. CBG Ghana has in less than a year, moved from a negative position to post profit, in a generally challenging banking environment. This was on the back of prudent management practices; the Bank has explained. CBG was formed in August last year after the collapse of Five struggling banks in the country. Award-Winning Artist Deborah Cox is set to perform during the Ghana World Music Festival which takes place 2nd – 4th August at the Fantasy Dome to close out PANAFEST & Emancipation activities this year. Ahead of her performance, Cox will participate in a panel discussion, Ghana World Music Festival’s Women in the Arts, dedicated to empowering women pursuing careers in the arts on Thursday 1st August at ACCRA TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE from 6pm – 8pm.  This panel is designed to help other women in the arts and entertainment business by discussing the pragmatic approaches to conceptualize and manage one’s professional journey. Cox, who has been in the entertainment industry since age 12, is from Canada and will share her journey in the business, talk about her new project and how she balances family with her career.  She will also discuss how she defines her own purpose within the entertainment industry, which often tries to define you, especially as a woman.
