Co-founder of Afro Nation, SMADE has donated assorted items to the Teshie Children’s Home as part of his birthday celebration. The items which were donated under The SMADE Foundation brand, included drinks, water, bags of rice, toiletries, biscuits and cash. Addressing the staff and children of the Home, SMADE explained that celebrating his birthday with less privileged children has been a long standing tradition for him. “I do this every year. Although I am not home, doing this in Ghana is not any different; the feeling is the same”. He further noted “Being with the children today helped me to realise that we need to be grateful even for the little things. Being in the position to help others is something I will never take for granted”. Receiving the items on behalf of the Home, Mrs Janet Parker, Owner of the Home expressed gratitude to The SMADE Foundation for the kind gesture. The delighted looking children also sung a birthday song for SMADE.

Okyeame Kwame Earns Praise After Awesome Performance At Decemba 2 Rememba Concert

The Rap Dacta, Okyeame Kwame has received tonnes of commendation after putting up an epic performance at the 2019 Decemba 2 Rememba Concert. A lot of people who attended the programme or watched on television have expressed their joy at Okyeame's stagecraft at the Citi FM and Citi TV event which was held at the Fantasy Dome in Accra. Clad in his locally designed outfit, he performed a repertoire of his songs, with the support of the Afro Harmony band. AfroNation On The Go; Waterfront Development Withdraws Légal Actions

Waterfront Development has thrown its weight behind Afro Nation Festival. According to a statement published on their website, the teams from Waterfront Development and Afro Nation reached an amicable agreement on the AfroNation 2019 Festival after a closed door meeting. The statement said Afro Nation Ghana has presented Waterfront Development with their security and event plans to Waterfront Development’s satisfaction. Consequently, “Waterfront Development will withdraw its legal action against AfroNation and wishes them well”, the statement added. Afro Nation the biggest urban music festival brand in the world starts from 27th to 30 December at the stunning Laboma beach.

Nkomo App Launched In Accra

A new communication app developed by a Ghanaian company was unveiled during a recent ceremony in Accra. Hosted by Citi TV’s Dziffa Ametam at the Holiday Inn Hotel, it saw Mr. Jonathan Lamptey, the Chief Executive Officer of Comsys Ghana Limited speak about the benefits of ‘NkomoTalk’ app to users. “The app doesn’t require a change of home number to make or receive calls when users travel around the world. Also, users can send SMS to phone users globally,” shared Mr. Lamptey. “Free phone calls, instant messaging, video calls and sharing of documents, voice messages, files and photos options are also available when users join the growing numbers of persons signed onto the app.” He encouraged the use of the app to connect with friends, family and business partners in real time via a free and secure connection through group chats, video and voice conferences in real time. Users are guaranteed secure and private conversations because of the app’s built-in end-to-end encryption.

Vodafone Ghana Affirms Commitment To Bolster It's 4G Infrastructure In 2020

Telecom giants, Vodafone Ghana has expressed its commitment to build a robust network that will constantly bring smiles on the faces of its numerous subscribers across the country. This, they will do, by investing in more cell sites in different parts of the country in order to propel its 4G spectrum that was launched earlier this year. This was disclosed by the Director of Corporate Communications at Vodafone Ghana, Gayheart Mensah at a press soiree for media men and bloggers in Accra. He said the company is planning to add 100 more cell sites to their current infrastructure in the upcoming year. Mr. Mensah disclosed that the earlier challenges the network faced after the launch of the 4G technology have been adequately worked on.

Ghana International Oscar Selection Committee Will Hold Its Annual Submission Workshop

The Ghana International Oscar Selection Committee will hold its annual submission workshop on the theme; International Oscar Submissions: Language, Film Styles, Campaigns and Requirements. The workshop will hold on the 18th of December at the ATIC Hall, opposite Afrikiko Gardens, with a 9am start time and will include panel discussions, networking and a screening of an International Oscar nominated film. CBG Spearheads Export Trade Forum

Funny Face, Caroline And Serwaa Amihere Commend Pepsodent For Transforming Lives

Ghanaian celebrities, Funny Face, Caroline and Serwaa Amihere have taken to social media to thank Pepsodent Ghana for transforming the life of a young boy called Christian Baah. Christian was suffering from a benign tumor known as Fibromyxoma, an aggressive condition that led to the swelling and deforming of his face. The condition made it impossible for little Christian to do simple every day activities like speaking, eating, smiling and even breathing. He became withdrawn as he could not socialize with children his own age. With no financial help coming in, the parents were desperate for a helping hand to save their son.  Pepsodent, through its #EverySmileMatters brand communication mandate decided to ease the pain of this little boy by paying the cost of his full surgery. The decision to cover the bill for the surgery is part of Pepsodent’s World Oral Health Day (WOHD) campaign which was marked earlier this year. The case was referred to Pepsodent by the Ghana Dental Association.

Two year-old Christian Baah, now has smiles restored to face after undergoing surgery to remove a benign tumor from his mouth, which had swollen and deformed his face. The surgery was facilitated by the Pepsodent toothpaste brand. Hailing from Mankessim in the Central region, Christian had lived with the benign tumor since turning one. The condition made him unable to smile, often inflicting pain whenever he ate, spoke or breathed. Little Christian could also not socialize as a result of his condition. The surgery was performed by doctors of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department in Accra.
