Special Harry Potter Pop-Up Channel On DStv Premium In November

While celebrating its big 3-0, M-Net continues to treat viewers to magical entertainment, and how much more magical can you get than a channel dedicated to the Harry Potter films? Soon after the fun-filled M-Net 30th Birthday BlockParty channel draws to a close on DStv Premium at the end of October, the iconic eight-film Harry Potter series will take over the entertainment on channel 109.

M-Net will treat viewers to a special M-Net Movies Harry Potter Pop-up Channel extravaganza from Friday 4 November until Sunday 13 November, and it will run for 17 hours per day from 04:00am until 9:00pm.

Leading up to the worldwide release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, an all-new adventure takes viewers back to the wizardry world created by J.K. Rowling, as all M-Net customers will be able to watch all eight Harry Potter films.

In addition to these eight films, the M-Net Movies Harry Potter Pop-Up Channel will be packed with plenty of behind-the-scenes specials and features of this hugely successful movie franchise.
Every night at 6:00pm, viewers will be captivated by the magic of the Harry Potter stories and transported into the spellbinding world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The films will be screened in this time-slot each day in chronological order. But, if you can’t wait another day to watch the next film in the series, you can watch back-to-back screenings throughout the day.

“By creating this channel, it proves yet again that M-Net allows our viewers in Africa to stay connected to the latest entertainment trends and buzz across the globe.” says Jan du Plessis, Director: M-Net Channels.

For more than a decade, Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter films have captivated the hearts and imaginations of children and adults alike all over the globe with enchanting tales of magic, adventure and friendship said Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, General Manager, Multichoice Ghana. While the franchise turned these young stars into household names, veterans like Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane round out the storylines in these spectacular films.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car. Sponsored by PayPorte, the program will run for 78 days, starting 22 January 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised launch and end on 9 April 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised finale.
