AFRICA JEWELRY FASHION & EXHIBITION WEEK SET FOR 6TH AUGUST 2016

Mode PR is excited to announce that the maiden edition of the Africa fashion  week set to come on the 6th of August 2016 in Accra.

Jewelry in Africa has always been prominent from centuries ago to present time. African's have cherished beads and appreciated their beauty since ancient times.

Beads have played an important role in the personal lives of African's and in times of our ancestors, being valued as currency and as an artistic medium. The materials used have varied over time, from shells to stones, clay, metal, and glass.

The 21st century could well be described as the age of spirituality for jewelry designers. Fine jewelry, imbued with talismanic and protective qualities that promise the consumer everything from inner peace to empowerment, from good fortune to happiness — is a growing industry.

The jewelry industry needs a fashion week and exhibition to sustain its rate of growth and to promote the art of jewelry, hence why the Africa Jewelry was established.
The Africa Jewelry and Accessories Fashion Week is the first Jewelry show to be organized in Ghana that is focused on raising awareness to the diverse talent, promoting and celebrating African culture. This year is the first edition of the Africa Jewelry and Accessories Fashion Week.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car. Sponsored by PayPorte, the program will run for 78 days, starting 22 January 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised launch and end on 9 April 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised finale.
