Jon Germain Thrills The International Community At The Regeneration Festival Concert With Mutabaruka

As Jon Germain celebrates 20years of broadcasting this year, let us stay reminded that he is beyond just broadcaster, He is also a class-act musician.

Jon Germain is probably the proverbial prophet who isn't revered in his home. With accolades and performances internationally, a song which is ranked 8th best love song in the world and Ghana's only R'n'B album in the past two years, Jon Germain has what it takes to stand toe-to-toe with A-List musicians like Charlie Wilson.

The musician, who used to spot braids back in the day, was recently spotted at  the Aburi Gardens, where he performed to a section of the international community in Ghana.

The event was the climax of the Regeneration Festival, which celebrated African culture and health, supported by the ministry of health and ministry of tourism. On the bill included the Oiada international Band, JahWi, Ras Aware and Jamaican dub legend Muta Baruka.

It was a surprise to see Jon Germain, listed amongst these reggae acts, as the only musician performing a genre outside the walls of reggae.

Spotting a simple outfit, Jon Germain took the stage with guitarist, Owura. He delivered a spectacular acoustic rendition of hits like, In My Head and Tell me.

At  this point many seats on the grounds were empty, as many patrons approached the stage to get a better view of Jon Germain. Mr. Germain set the tone for the audience to get romantic, as many lovers found refuge in each others arms, swinging to the suiting sound of music.

After his performance, I caught up with Jon Germain, who disclosed that he is ready to drop new music.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). MultiChoice is bringing back the Nigerian version of the series after 10 years. It had announced after the last edition of BBA that each African country will stage the show henceforth. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car. Sponsored by PayPorte, the program will run for 78 days, starting 22 January 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised launch and end on 9 April 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised finale.

Those who guessed that it had some relevance we must pay attention to were correct. A little secret you should know first - the parrot is an all-hearing one, and it will spill all the secrets it's heard at 9 pm today. It’s about to be pure mayhem, and we are here for it! For the past two weeks, the parrot has carefully listened to all the drama and gossip in the house, and it is time for the parrot to do what parrots know how to do best, gossip.
