Abeiku Santana Kicks Off Tourism Awareness Initiative

Ace Ghanaian broadcaster Abeiku Santana who was recently appointed as one of Ghana’s tourism ambassadors has outlined his activities so far.

The awareness sensitization on tourism this week has been fantastic with the people. We need to come to the point of realization that Tourism industry has the germ to turn our economy around if given the needed attention and push.

It's a shared responsibility. Thanks to everyone who is willing to raise the awareness. I began my activity this week with taxi drivers at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra. I continued to Kumasi and returned to Accra the same day.

I have been to the following media houses since Monday ; Hitz 103.9Fm Breakfast show, Pluzz 89.9Fm Breakfast Show, Citi 97.3fm Breakfast show, Adom TV News.

I have also visited The following Hotels; African Regent Hotel, La Villa Boutique Hotel, Oak Plaza Hotel, Best Western Premier Hotel and Labadi Beach Hotel.

I had the privilege to meet HRH, Earl of Wessex Prince Edward, the son of the Duke of Edinburgh and briefly talked about our tourism industry. Lord Paul Boateng, the first Black African to become a member of the British Parliament assured me of his support.

In a brief Chat with The British High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin, he intimated that sanitation awareness must be inculcated into my plan. We have scheduled an official meeting on that.

I want to thank the Minister of Tourism Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare for giving me this responsibility which I consider worth doing.

Abeiku Aggrey Santana

Tourism Ambassador, Ghana.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). MultiChoice is bringing back the Nigerian version of the series after 10 years. It had announced after the last edition of BBA that each African country will stage the show henceforth. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car. Sponsored by PayPorte, the program will run for 78 days, starting 22 January 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised launch and end on 9 April 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised finale.

It wasn’t just that it seemed out of place; it was also a little weird and didn’t match the decor. So the guessing game began with everyone wondering if it was just a decorative piece or if it held some significance that we had to pay attention to. Those who guessed that it had some relevance we must pay attention to were correct. A little secret you should know first - the parrot is an all-hearing one, and it will spill all the secrets it's heard at 9 pm today. It’s about to be pure mayhem, and we are here for it! For the past two weeks, the parrot has carefully listened to all the drama and gossip in the house, and it is time for the parrot to do what parrots know how to do best, gossip.
