''I think it's a great opportunity for me to showcase my new music on a world stage. First of all, it’s amazing that, the stage has been set because it’s been a lot of back and forth to establish a platform where Africans can come and do their thing. This is a full set and it’s actually a very big step in our conquest of the world.

Also, Afrobeat is taking over slowly in musical circles and our place to show/let the world hear what we have to offer, so I’m excited and we are definitely planning on releasing my new album this year.

And I think the platform by SXSW will be a good launching spot to begin that journey'', expresses E.L

E.L will be joined by his Ghanaian counterparts, Samini, Efya, YFM's DJ Kess and Jojo Abot at the festival which will take plance in Austin, Texas. Other African artists booked to perform at the festival includes Simi, Adekunle Gold, Mayorkun, Vector, Falz, Mr Eazi, Seyi Shay, Yemi Alade, Cassper Nyovest, Victoria Kimani, Khaligraph and Anatii.

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference & Festivals celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. Fostering creative and professional growth alike, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery.

Each year, the SXSW Music Festival brings together the global music industry alongside film and technology professionals to make personal and business connections as well as discover the next generation of talent. Not limited in genre or regional focus, fans, fellow musicians, industry professionals, and creatives from every discipline can enjoy a variety of musical styles at SXSW.
