Vodafone Poised To Lead SME Digital Agenda

Vodafone wants to entrench its reputation as the digital telco of the future by empowering SMEs this September. The telecommunications company has dedicated this month to helping SMEs to be digitally transformative in the way they operate across all levels.

SMEs play a very crucial role in Ghana’s economy, demonstrating the capacity to contribute enormously to the general economic growth. With the world at an advanced stage of digitisation, Vodafone wants to be at the forefront of the drive to make these businesses relevant and competitive.

A number of initiatives have already been lined up including SME clinics across the regions, a master plan to register 1,000 SMEs online as well as a Masterclass programme, in partnership with CEIBS, to build the capacity of these businesses.

The SME Masterclass programme will also train Senior Managers of selected SMEs on key modules including Corporate Governance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Growth, Financial Management and Social Media.

Commenting on the month, Angela Mensah-Poku, Director at Vodafone Business Solutions (VBS) said:

The high-noon of the SME month will be the Annual SMEGA awards, where thriving companies in the country will be rewarded and acknowledged for a good job done.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). MultiChoice is bringing back the Nigerian version of the series after 10 years. It had announced after the last edition of BBA that each African country will stage the show henceforth.
