Female Singer Nana Yaa To Drop New Single ‘Handkerchief’ On 6th April

Ghana music awards best female vocalist nominee Nana Yaa is set to drop her official second single off her untitled debut album on 6th April. 

The new single: ‘Handkerchief’ features African dancehall king Samini and was produced by the genius Kwame Yeboah.

Nana Yaa in talking about the new single disclosed that the new song – ‘Handkerchief’ is a hi-life jam. 

“This song will get people onto the dance floor, she mentioned. ‘I remember when I released ‘Ego Be’ my fans accepted it with lot of love because it gave them so much hope and motivation aiding them to get through their lives hence with this new single I felt it was time for them to dance’, She continued. 

In explaining the concept of ‘Handkerchief’, Nana Yaa noted that the song is for every lover in a long distance relationship who is either in another region or country’. 

She further on explained by saying: ‘Since we are approaching the rainy season and the weather is going to be cold (lol) and there will be nothing than people missing their partners, well, now they have a song that will calm them down; giving them hope that everything will be fine’. 


She also said that Samini brought his A-game on this one. ‘I recollect when Samini came into the studio to do his verse, we had so much fun and the connection brought out the best’, she stressed. 

In Nana Yaa’s ending words the singer hinted more on the song; ‘ Shouts to all those who miss original Ghanaian Hi-life music and wish to always get a song like that, well, your prayers are answered because this new single is an original Ghanaian Hi-life song and I know you guys will love it. 

This new single will prove why Nana Yaa is the queen of Hi-life with Soul. 

Be ready, on the 6th of April and through out the whole of April Nana Yaa will be on your favorite radio / TV channel to talk about the brand new single – ‘Handkerchief’ ft. Samini.
