BERLA MUNDI TAKES OVER TOUCHDOWN ON LIVE 91.9 FM

Ghana’s biggest urban youth brand LIVE 91.9 FM today announced changes to its impressive on-air offering.

Leading the new lineup, is rising star Berla Mundi, who is taking over as substantive host of the station’s hugely popular after drive show Touchdown.

Previously, Touchdown was hosted by Jeremie Van Garshong, who now co-hosts LIVE FM’s Morning Show Live Breakfast Club with Jay Foley.

Station executives say Miss Mundi brings to the show an entirely different feel which should stand the test of time in the urban radio space. Mundi has been hosting the programme for sometime now. Officially, she goes live with the all new Touchdown on April 11.

A young lady in flight, Berla has been with LIVE FM since it started actual broadcasting last year. Joining the team as an entertainment news reader on the station’s mid morning show; Lifestyle Café, and the evening drive show Route 919, she’s risen through the ranks, and often sat-in some of LIVE’s flagship shows.

Another change announced today will see the station’s Programmes Manager Giovani Caleb, host the popular Saturday Morning show THIZ’LIVE, also previously hosted by Mundi.

“Berla is an amazing talent; we are confident she will have a good time on air. Over the period, she’s been able to build for herself and the station a solid following that is useful to our audience share. We believe she can build Touchdown into a world class urban radio show,” Business Manager, LIVE FM, Jay Foley says.

LIVE 91.9 FM is owned by Africa’s leading media group EIB Network, who are also owners of Starr FM, GH One TV, Kasapa FM, Ultimate FM, Empire FM, Agoo FM, Agoo TV, and the Daily Heritage Newspaper.
