Selorm Kwame Tay Announced Mr. World Ghana 2016

24-year-old graduate of Central University, Selorm Kwame Tay has been announced Mr. World Ghana 2016.

The announcement comes barely two weeks after organizers, Exclusive Events held a rigorous auditioning and selection ceremony to pick a desirable young man for Ghana.

The process started from Saturday, June 11 and ended Monday June 20.  Eleven (11) shortlisted finalists were engaged in series of activities including interviews with judges, fitness challenge with Pippa’s Gym, assault course with the Military Academy Training School, talent show, swimming, photo-shoot, social intervention projects, multimedia and football challenges. It was extremely competitive.

At the end, Selorm beat the ten (10) other finalists to emerge the ultimate man to represent Ghana at the Mr. World event in Southport England on July 19 2016.

selorm 3He is a product of Central University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing degree. He hails from the Volta Region and is passionate about swimming and playing basketball.

26-year-old Nii Kpakpo Acquaye and Sule Kasie who were adjudged first and second runners up respectively.


Archibald who will be representing Ghana at the 2016 Mr. Africa International pageant is also a graduate of the University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting.

He loves to educate everyone on autism and enjoys listening to music, playing basketball and watching movies.

23-year-old, Sule Kasie will also represent Ghana at an international male pageant later this year.

He is a personal trainer from the Eastern Region and is a product of Oyoko Methodist Senior Hugh School. He enjoys listen to music, keeping fit and also loves watching movies.

Mr. World Ghana 2016 is by Exclusive Events and supported by Mahogany Lodge Hotel, Ghana Armed Forces, The Military Academy Training School in Teshie and Pippa’s Health Centre.
