Full List Of winners At 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards

The 2016 edition of  Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA happened on Saturday, June 11 at the Obi Wali International Conference Center in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 

As usual, Nigerian movies and actors walked home with most awards with other African countries winning few.

Nana Obiri Yeboah directed movie, “The Cursed One” saved Ghana from disgrace at this year’s  Africa Movie Academy Awards. 

Some of the stars who smiled home with awards include Daniel K Daniel, Thishiwe Ziqubu, RMD, Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva among others.

Dignitaries such as the host, Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike and the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, were present at the time the event suffered power outage.


The 12th edition of the wards organised to recognize and honour, actors, film directors and producers in the African film industry was hosted by Nigerian actor Mike Ezeuronye & Kgopedi Lioane, a South African radio personality.
