After suffering a lot of backlash for the lack of diversity its nominations this year, the 88th edition of The Academy Awards has announced ‘Beasts Of Nation’ breakthrough child actor, Abraham Attah as one of the presenters at this year’s Oscars slated for the February 28th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Young Ghanaian actor Abraham Attah has been nominated as one of the stars to present an award at this year’s Academy Awards (Oscars).
Attah hit the limelight after starring in the Cary Fukunaga movie ‘Beasts of No Nation’ alongside Idris Elba.
Alongside Attah, the Academy also announced other presenters including ‘Creed’ star Michael B. Jordan, Common, Russell Crowe, Sarah Silverman and Sofia Vergara.
Previously announced presenters included Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Carell, Jared Leto, Julianne Moore, Olivia Munn, Margot Robbie, Jason Segel and Andy Serkis.
The 88th Academy Awards is slated for the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, on February 28.
Chris Rock would host the event, which has come under fire for a lack of diversity in its final list of nominees.
