Relebogile Mabotja Nominated For Music Excellence Award

South African Multi award winning actress, producer, musical director and entrepreneur, Relebogile Mabotja, has been nominated for a Music Excellence Award at the upcoming 6th annual Woman: The Real Architects Of Society award ceremony taking place this Saturday, 20 August 2016.

The Woman: The Real Architects Of Society awards was founded by former Miss South Africa, Joan Ramagoshi Madibeng and aims to celebrate the achievements of women in society.

The Music Excellence Award is an award for a woman that has made a significant contribution to the performing arts in music, such as uplifting the community/youth, development projects and education programs. Relebogile Mabotja is being recognised for her notable work as a publisher, musical director and composer.

“It’s always an honour to gain recognition for work one has done. I am extremely humbled to receive a nomination in the Music Excellence category which is usually given in recognition to recording and performing artists” expresses Relebogile Mabotja.

Relebogile Mabotja’s nomination is just testament to the outstanding work she has done over the year. Being one of the very few female musical directors in the country, Relebogile Mabotja has showcased her talent representing South Africa in Nigeria where she was the musical director for the Techno Own The Stage final; and she is also the Series Producer and Musical Director for SABC 2’s Afro Café just to highlight a few.
Relebogile Mabotja’s resume speaks volumes and her nomination for a Music Excellence Award is highly fitting and the country can only expect greater things from her.
