EL, Abraham Attah, Adisadel College & Others Nominated For Ghana Teen Choice Awards 2016

The 2016 edition of Ghana’s most prestigious teen event, Ghana Teen Choice Awards will be held at the World Trade Center Atrium in Accra on Saturday 27th August 2016.

This was stated in an interview to unveil a board of judges for the 2016 edition of the event on GhOne last thursday.

The 4 who were unveiled were Fred Baa, head of The Silver Network, Celebrity Stylist, Kulaperry, Prisca Dede Aryeh, co host of Campus base tv and Tv presenter/producer Amihere Serwaa.

This year’s competition received 65 applications from 130 teens in 30 senior high schools and colleges across Ghana.

Beast of no nation teen star Abraham Attah and YOLO tv series lead act Aaron Adatsi are the leading nominees for 2016 with 2 nominations in the Ultimate Choice Teen and Ultimate Choice Movie Star categories, followed by the YOLO TV Series in the Choice TV Series category.

Other nominees include CEO of the Beige Group Mr. Mike Nyinaku, 2016 VGMA Artiste of the year, 2016 National Science and Math Quiz winners, Adisadel College, WASSCE 2015 top scorer Jessica Quaye and Kojo Nkansa Lilwin.

Accra Academy had the highest nominations this year with 9 slots, followed by Adisadel College with 7 nominations.


The Ghana Teen Choice Awards event was instituted in August 2014 to celebrate teen excellence and recognize various personalities who influence Teenagers across Ghana.

The head of team explained that the GTCA wasn’t reserved for teens only but all other public personalities whose activities affect and influence the lives of teenagers positively.

“This awards event should not be seen as a competition between nominees but as a way of encouraging teens to strive for excellence in everything they do.
We take this opportunity to call on all Parents to come watch and support teens on the event night.”

Advance tickets for the teens biggest night are currently selling at the photo store in Accra Mall for GHC 30.

Members of the public can follow weekly diaries on GhOne TV every Friday at 1pm and vote for their favorite Nominees by texting their names to 1446 on all networks.

2016 Ghana Movie Awards Entry Closes October 20

The 2016 Ghana Movie Awards (MAG) has announced that entry for submission of works will close on October  20. This follows MAG's new strategy to open entry all year round immediately after hosting the awards in December. PEACE HYDE WINS BIG! FIRST GHANAIAN AWARDED AS AFRICAN BROADCASTER OF THE YEAR
