#GHMusicWednesday On Live 91.9 FM Starts Today

The nation’s biggest youth brand, Live 91.9 FM, early this dawn started its initiative to support the craft of Ghanaian musicians.

On Wednesday, August 17 and every other Wednesday, the station will play Ghanaian music for 24 hours – from 12am Wednesday to 12:00pm Wednesday.

“Setting aside a day for only Ghanaian music on air is our way of supporting and promoting the growth of the Ghanaian music industry as we’ve done in the past. We are stepping up our support game a little more,” says Antoine Mensah, Programmes Manager of Live FM. “We are featuring the best of Ghanaian music only for 24 hours.”

The station and its presenters are credited with providing a platform for upcoming acts to make it into the mainstream industry. It continues to support both mainstream artistes with its programming and events line-up.
Live FM parades the best of presenters and DJs in the industry including Jay Foley, Jeremie, Antoine Mensah, Sammy Forson, Berla Mundi, Vanessa Gyan, DJ L0rd, Regina Krave, Jason, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Sheldon, DJ Bass, DJ Isaac Cool, DJ Mingle, Bianca Buckman and Masta Jay.

The station covered extensively the 2016 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards, as the official media partner in Ghana after agreeing to a deal with organizers, Viacom International Media Networks.

Early this year, the station agreed to a deal with leading lifestyle and entertainment media organization TRACE. The two bodies agreed to tap into their existing strengths to provide compelling content that sits at the heart of Africa’s ever growing media and entertainment landscape.

A successful story that started in May 2015, LIVE FM has grown to become Ghana’s best testament of what youthful exuberance when unrestricted in creativity, can do, and the nation’s most exciting urban youth radio brand with a large following.

The station belongs to leading media group EIB Network, which also owns GH One TV, Starr FM, Kasapa FM, Ultimate FM, Empire FM, Abusua FM, Agoo FM, Agoo TV, and the Daily Heritage newspaper.
