VIASAT1 PREMIERES NEW SOAP OPERA ‘VALIENTE’ ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

When love, deceit and revenge get in the way of friendship, the blinding hatred that follows can lead a person to hurt those who are closest to his heart.

This is the premise of a timeless story that captivated millions of Filipino viewers, and will premiere on Viasat1 this Sunday, 6th March 2016 at 3pm.

Valiente is a Philippine drama television series, aired and broadcast on TV5. It is the remake of the 4-year original epic drama of the same name that tells the story of love, hatred, vengeance and friendship. It recounts the epic tale of two families whose lives are intertwined by their desire to claim what they believe is rightfully theirs.

Gardo and Theo, from the two conflicting families of Valiente and Braganza; are two men who used to be best of friends but came to be mortal enemies brought by the ambitious Donya Trining, who will she use her wealth and power in manipulating the life of Gardo Valiente, the real Braganza.

With its one-of-a-kind rendition of the classic drama series, Valiente was recognized by the Entertainment Press Society (ENPRESS, Inc.) as Outstanding Adapted Drama Series at the recent Golden Screen TV Awards last March.

Valiente is helmed by multi-awarded director Joel Lamangan with a powerhouse cast of this generation’s most bankable actors, including Kapatid stars Oyo Sotto, Nadine Samonte, Niña Jose and JC De Vera, with the most-respected and highly acclaimed actors in the industry: Mark Gil, Jaclyn Jose, Gina Alajar and the original Valiente himself, Michael de Mesa.

The introduction of Valiente comes on the heels of Paula: For Love or Money, which premiered barely a month ago. Viewers can follow the story on Viasat1’s official telenovela page (Viasat 1 Telenovelas) for regular updates and discussions.

Valiente will take over from Tomorrow Belongs to Me, and will air every Sunday at 3pm and repeated on Monday at 9am only on Viasat1, Your Number 1 Entertainer.
