Ghanaian Female gospel music group, Tagoe Sisters on February 23 this year donated items worth Gh10,000 to the Mampong School For the Deaf. The group made up of Lydia Dedei Yawson and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe made the donation as part of activities to kick start The Tagoe Jubilee Concert.
The group upon their visit to the school donated bags of rice, gallons of oil, cans of drinks and many other items. The music group also financed the renovation of the school's toilet facilities, washrooms and provided them with a polytank.
Tagoe Sisters with support from their sponsors will supply the school with 500 bags of water every month for two years since water is a major problem they face. The sisters who turn 50 this July 27 is planning a concert dubbed, The Tagoe Jubilee Concert. Artistes expected to join the musicians at the concert are Ohemaa Mercy, Helena Rabbles, Amy Newman, Akosua Adjepong, and Rev Thomas Yawson among others.
The twins as part of the jubilee celebration will also organise a football gala match between the gospel musicians and secular musicians as part of activities towards their birthday celebrations.
