Anita Erskine Hosts Smart Money Woman Book Tour In Accra

Arese Ugwu, acclaimed personal finance expert and founder of The Smart Money Africa movement is set to bring her Smart Woman Book Tour to Ghana from October 28 to 30, 2016.

After eight years of working in wealth management, the 2015 finalist for the Access Bank W Award for young professional of the year is now engaging young Africans on the importance of financial literacy with her book The Smart Money Woman: An African Girl's Journey to Financial Freedom.

This project is Arese Ugwu’s latest offering as she ventures into storytelling, spinning a juicy tale about four girlfriends in Lagos, Nigeria navigating incredible money woes and coming out victorious.

The Smart Money Woman: An African Girl's Journey to Financial Freedom relates the story of Zuri, a 28 year old single woman and how her friends Tami, Lara, Adesuwa and Ladu help he navigate her way to financial freedom. Smart Money Woman covers financial principles in an entertaining manner and each chapter ends with an action plan to help readers work their way up the ladder.

The Smart Woman Book Tour, will take place in Accra on Saturday, 29th October in the form of a book signing and book reading. The tour will proceed as follows:

The book has received positive feedback from some of the biggest names across sectors from Business, Finance, Media and Entertainment. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, The Dangote Group Chairman and CEO said that The Smart Money Woman is “an entertaining way to learn about money. Ushering a new narrative of Africa, specifically of the African woman in the 21st century; her perspective, her ambitions, her journey, her flaws and all, but wholly hers”.

Uche Pedro of BellaNaija, Betty Irabor of Genevieve Magazine and Tara Fela-Durotoye of House of Tara all commended her ability to tell a great, hilarious story while driving home the strong message about the changes to be made in the relationship African women have with money.
