101 CLOTHING NOMINATED FOR 8TH BEFFTA AWARDS UK

It’s definitely an exciting time for the African Creative Arts industry, specifically fashion as the fashion world focuses its attention of works and designs by fashion and creative designers of African descent across the world.

Just months after its maiden “My Turn” showcase in the United Kingdom, Ghanaian fashion brand, 101 Clothing, has been nominated for the eighth edition of the grand and prestigious BEFFTA Awards in the United Kingdom.

Slated for Friday 28th October 2016, the awards event will celebrate outstanding talents in entertainment, from the fields of film, fashion, television, arts, sports to persons who have demonstrated exceptional leadership within the year under review. Also at the red carpet event, veteran Hollywood make-up artist, Kim Elba, will be honoured with the BEFFTA Lifetime Achievement Award and the sensational UK singer and songwriter, Lemar, with BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award. Hon. Saulos Chilima, the Vice President of Malawi, will be the special guest of honour at this year’s event.

The multiple award winning clothing, 101 Clothing, is known for fusing African print to suit the western style and has in the past clothed Grammy award winning producer Jazzwad, award winning screen goddess Ama K Abeberese, Miss Great Britain United Nations Emily Blake and quite recently Hollywood actor, Abraham Attah among others.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 101 Clothing, Mr. Ludwig Henry Amponsah, said “I want to thank God for this nomination and making it possible for me to get to this point in my career. I also want to thank everyone who believed in me and has made it possible for me to realize my dreams, there is a lot to be achieved with their continued support and with vision and direction from God”.



Mr. Amponsah is a multiple award recipient; Emerging designer at West Africa Fashion Awards, Black MUA Best Male Designer 2015, Africa Youth Choice Awards 2015 and also a previous BEFFTA Awards nominee.
