Ghana’s best female rap artiste Miss Ruth Nyame popularly known as Eno is set to release the first female rap album this November 2016. She mentioned she’s been working tirelessly to put together the masterpiece which features and involves very good engineers and artistes.
She indicated her choice of album title was mainly due to the fact that the industry was male dominated and females have to work twice harder as their male colleagues to get recognition, and she’s been a member of the fight.
However she also mentioned that on the rap side of the industry, more needs to be done to unearth female artistes. Eno who performed at the old schools reunion over the weekend was very impressive with her stage performance and kept the crowd singing every bit of her songs, coupled with beautiful stage performance.
Eno’s “Yaa Asantewaa” album features Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Becca, Sandra Huson, Kwaw Kesse, Cabum, Medikal, Stonebwoy and more. The album will be available online and at various music shops across the country and in Europe through the dutch distribution channel. However, there will also be videos and album concerts to support the maiden album release.
