‘Starr Woman Project’ Season 2 Launches On August 1

Starr 103.5 FM will launch the second edition of the “Starr Woman Project” on The Zone on Monday, August 1.

The "Starr Woman Project" is an extension of 'The Zone' which seeks to equip young women entrepreneurs with the relevant knowledge, skill and motivation to achieve their fullest potential as entrepreneurs.

The maiden edition which took place in April 2016, focused on the theme “Getting the Basics Right as A Young Female Entrepreneur” with stakeholders elaborating on issues relating to women empowerment.

The project provided a high level networking platform for influential women entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and dialogue on issues related to entrepreneurship and leadership.

The second edition will commence with an on-air launch at 1pm under the theme, "Becoming a Starr Woman: Standing out as a female entrepreneur."

The second edition will focus on various topics which includes;
1. Innovation in business
2. Success in a congested industry
3. Thriving in a male dominated industry
4. Managing your image on social media - where don’t you draw the line between your personal life and your business
5. Your choice of a life partner and how it affects your business
6. When is the right time to have children? Does it affect your business in any way.

2. Giving back, where do you start
3. Being the only girl in the room
4. Standing out as a female entrepreneur.

Speakers for the launch includes Claudia Lumour, founder Glitz Fashion Magazine, Anita Erskine, Presenter and Entrepreneur and Dzigbordi K Dosoo, dynamic and multi-skilled Entrepreneur, Business Expert.

Telenovela Channel Eva+ Launches On GOtv And DStv In November

Eva+ will begin airing on Tuesday, 1st of November on GOtv Plus on channel 113 as well as all DStv packages on channels 142.  Similarly to Eva, Eva+ will offer high production value Latin American telenovelas fully dubbed in English and Portuguese languages, and will be the first channel in AMC Networks International UK’s (AMCNI UK) regional portfolio to be available on MultiChoice’s DTT platform. 2016 Ghana Movie Awards Entry Closes October 20

The 2016 Ghana Movie Awards (MAG) has announced that entry for submission of works will close on October  20. This follows MAG's new strategy to open entry all year round immediately after hosting the awards in December. The Ghana Movie Awards is an event to recognize excellence by annually honoring achievements of actors, writers, directors, producers, technicians and other professionals in the film making industry of Ghana and the rest of Africa. It is organized by Gollywood Production Limited with support from major stakeholders of the film industry, to provide opportunities for filmmakers to have spotlight on their films. It also aims to promote and support Ghanaian filmmaking.
