Gospel Department Of MUSIGA Mourns The Late Danny Nettey

The Gospel Department of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has been informed about the death of Gospel artiste Minister Danny Nettey. According to the family he died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday July 15, 2016. Dan Nettey was a very good song writer who is reputed for writing songs for many gospel artistes in the country.

Danny who has been at the fore front of gospel music scene in the country released his debut album ‘Positive Change’, in 1995. He followed that with the release of two albums ‘Time’ and ‘I believe’ with his group Danny and Pals.

Minister Danny Nettey has been an active member of the Union for more than two decades. On behalf of the President, executives and entire membership of the Union, we would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of the late Danny Nettey. 

The Gospel Music department will collaborate with the family to give him a befitting burial. Details of final funeral rites shall be announced later.

The late Danny Nettey will be missed for his December 25th Christmas Day Show dubbed Danny and Friends where along with his friends in Gospel Music would serenade patrons with great gospel music. His last such event was in December 2015.
