Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) nominee and popular hiplife musician, Nii Funny of 'Yooko Ebreaki Me' fame, would be headlining the 2016 'Gamashi Homowo Bash' scheduled for Saturday, August 6, at Bukom, Gamashi, in the heart of Accra.
The event is planned as a mega music concert to climax entertainment activities for this year's edition of the annual Gamashi Homowo festival and would have performances by some of Ghna's finest musicians, including the VRMG Boss Edem, Luther, Tinny, Wisa, Screw Face, Shilo, Apaatse, King Jerry and several others.
“We would have ONE BIG MUSIC STAGE FOR ONE GAMASHI Homowo and I am very grateful to all the artistes who have assured us of their presence and promised to put up great shows and the sponsors still in talks with my management team,” Nii Funny announced in a release. It stated further, “The feedback has been great. We all admired how Nima and Fadama celebrated Sallah; and we are glad we were there to support.
It is time to show some love for Gamashi Homowo and as a resident artiste, we see this as our social responsibility to our people.
We are grateful to the Almighty God for giving us the ability and grace to do this to His glory… And we thank you all for the support.”
It is estimated to attract some eight thousand (8,000) youth from Gamashi and its environs to entertain themselves and also to cheer up their respective 'area champions' who would be performing on the night at the free-ticket event, which would begin at 6 pm and continue till dawn.
