Nana Ama Benson Wins Miss Ghana 2018


Nana Ama Benson, a 23-year-old graduate of University Ghana Nursing School  who represented  the  Central Region has been crowned Miss Ghana 2018.

She beat nine other beautiful contestants in the highly competitive event on Saturday evening to win the coveted title of the Miss Ghana 2018 contest which was held at the plush Accra Marriot Hotel in an atmosphere of splendour.

She also won Beauty with a Purpose, Most Disciplined , Miss Bikini and Miss Eloquence Awards during the evening.

She took home the Miss Ghana crown, a Mahindra KUV 100 official car  and  also has an opportunity to represent Ghana at the Miss World Pageant 2018 .

She will also be volunteering with Exclusive Events Ghana and Miss Ghana  Foundation for a period of one year as well as enjoy a platinum gym membership at the ultra modern Pippa's Health Centre in Accra. Nana Ama is entitled to products from Samsung/Electroland and other sponsors aside a monthly allowance of 1000gh among other prices.

Northern Region delegate, Laila Issaka who is also a 24-year -old Accounting graduate of Koforidua Technical University and 22-year-old graduate of Accra Polytechnic, Elizabeth Mary Maclean who also represented the Western Region came the first and second runners up respectively.

They both received Hyundai Grande i10 official cars each and will also be volunteering with the Exclusive Events Ghana and Miss Ghana Foundation for a year among other prizes.

The 2018 Miss Ghana pageant was hosted by Abeiku Santana with support from Josephine Aryitey, Miss Ghana 2013 top ten finalist. It was attended by a number of influential personalities including Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Fred Nuamah, Okyeame Kwame, Ignace, Obuor, Moesha Boduong, Shatta Michy and a host of others.

There were interesting performance by ace saxophonist Steve Bedi and   Wendy Shay.

The pageant was sponsored by  Svani Group Limited,National Lottery  Authority, Superlock Technologies Limited Ghana, Tang Palace Hotel, IPMC Ghana, Accra Marriott hotel,  Heritage Insurance, Electroland, Modaskky, Pippa’s Health Centre, Magnum Force Securities, Allure Centric, BelAqua, Aqua Safari Resort Ada, Ceeami, Amazing U, Akosombo Textile Limited. Nana Ama Benson who won the pageant is expected to make Ghana proud at the miss world event. She loves to dance and listen to music. Nana’s mission to motivate people to reach their very best got her  to be a part of the Miss Ghana brand.

She believes it is an authentic brand which shapes young ladies into women of substance in the society. Also it provides queens with beneficial life skills.
