Sonnie Badu To Headline Virtual Concert To Support Fight Against COVID-19

US and UK based International Gospel Act Dr. Sonnie Badu is set to headline a virtual concert come May 1st 2020. 

The virtual concert is geared towards raising funds to support the fight against Covid-19 in Ghana and also to support Ghanaians in the United States who have been affected by the virus as well.

Other musicians who are set to perform at the virtual concert are Gospel artistes like Ministers Joe Mettle, Jeshurun Okyere, Cwesi Oteng, MOG Music, and Emmanuel Smith. These gospel acts will be supported by two talented hip life artistes; Okyeame Kwame and Bisa Kdei.

In an interview with Dr. Sonnie Badu who is headlining the concert, he noted that the concert is a collaboration between him, the Rock Hill Church and Embassy of Ghana in Washington and it is to help raise funds to support efforts of Government in fighting the pandemic.


“I am helping to raise funds for Ghanaians who have been affected by the pandemic and as an illustrious son of Ghana, I feel proud to be called upon to help this good cause, he reiterated”.

The virtual concert will be broadcast live on GHone TV and its affiliate  social media platforms  as well as the Embassy’s Facebook page  at 3:30pm EST/7:30pm GMT and 8:30 BST.

The virtual concert  is a collaboration between  the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, under the High Commissioner, His Excellency Dr. Baffour Adjei Barwuah, Sonnie Badu, the Rock Hill Church and Analiticks Management.
