Council Of Faith Commends Ghanaians For Peaceful Elections

The success of this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections represents a milestone in the history of Ghana.

We first and foremost want to express our profound gratitude to the Almighty God for seeing us through in this peaceful and credible election. May his name alone be forever praised, Amen!

We want to commend the good people of Ghana for demonstrating a high level of maturity and decorum throughout the elections. You’ve really made Africa and the whole world proud.

We also want to congratulate the Electoral Commissioner, Madam Charlotte Osei and her meticulous staff for conducting a very successful election on December 7.

We again acknowledge the support of our electoral observers –both internal and external, the professional coverage of the media as well as religious and civil society organizations in contributing to the success of the elections. We say Ayekoo and may the good Lord bless you all.

We also want to congratulate and commend His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for exhibiting a very high level of political maturity and statesmanship in quickly conceding defeat to the President-Elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
We believe this will go a long way to enrich our political history and credentials and also set a standard for this generation and generations to come. His service to this nation has created an indelible mark that will forever remain a memorable memorial in our political history. We ask that the Good Lord who kept him safe during his tenure of office will continue to be with him in all his endeavors.

We will at this stage congratulate the President – Elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for been elected as the President of the Republic of Ghana. He has shown a very strong will, resilience, perseverance and a high level of tenacity throughout his political journey. He has undoubtedly proven to the whole world that where determination exists, failure can never dismantle the flag of success. We hope and pray that the Lord grant him and his team divine wisdom and grace to successfully steer the affairs of this country.

At this juncture, we want to make a clarion call to all Ghanaians home and abroad to bury our political differences and work together as one people with a common destiny to make our dear nation stronger and greater.

We are not NPP, we are Ghanaians. We are not NDC, we are Ghanaians.
God bless our homeland Ghana and make our nation greater and stronger.

Long live Ghana.

-Signed-
