Vodafone Gets Five-star At Telecom Awards

Vodafone Ghana has picked up five prestigious awards at the ninth edition of the Ghana Information Technology and Telecoms Awards (GITTA) held in Accra. 

The telecom company won the Telecom Business Provider of the Year award for the second consecutive year, and Wholesale Carrier of the Year.

The company’s socially impactful digital initiatives including the National Coding Programme, which are greatly contributing to a digital revolution in Ghana, earned it the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year.

Two senior executives in Vodafone Ghana were also recognised for their immense contribution to the growth of the industry. Vodafone’s Technology Director, Srabasti Bhattarjee won Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Year for, amongst other things, leading the company’s 4G deployment.
Angela Mensah-Poku, previous Director of Vodafone Business, also received a special recognition for her outstanding contribution to the Enterprise sector. She was singled out for introducing innovative products and initiatives that are fueling the growth and success of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in the country.

Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA) is an annual industry awards event that recognises innovation and excellence in the telecommunications and ICT sectors.

2016 Ghana Movie Awards Entry Closes October 20

The 2016 Ghana Movie Awards (MAG) has announced that entry for submission of works will close on October  20. This follows MAG's new strategy to open entry all year round immediately after hosting the awards in December. PEACE HYDE WINS BIG! FIRST GHANAIAN AWARDED AS AFRICAN BROADCASTER OF THE YEAR
