Charterhouse Ghana, organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards
(VGMAs) says it has no partnership with Betyetu, a gaming company
advertising a wagering opportunity on categories from the 20th VGMA.
A statement released and signed by George Quaye, head of communications at Charterhouse reads:
“It has come to the attention of the management of Charterhouse Ghana, organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), that a poster supposedly from Betyetu, a gaming company advertising a wagering opportunity on categories from the 20th VGMA is making the rounds on social media.
A statement released and signed by George Quaye, head of communications at Charterhouse reads:
“It has come to the attention of the management of Charterhouse Ghana, organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), that a poster supposedly from Betyetu, a gaming company advertising a wagering opportunity on categories from the 20th VGMA is making the rounds on social media.
“Charterhouse would like to state emphatically that neither the company, its partners, sponsors nor assigns has sanctioned this wagering opportunity and is not in any partnership whatsoever with Betyetu or any other betting company in relation to the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
“Charterhouse has also not granted Betyetu or any other betting company the rights to use the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards brand in any gaming, betting or wagering activity whatsoever.
“The General Public is hereby advised to desist from partaking in this game or wager purportedly associated with the 20th VGMA or do so at your own risk.
