Harriet Lamptey Chides 29 Others To Win Miss Pan African Queen International

It was a revered night for Ghana when the 2018 Miss Pan African Queen International beauty pageant was held over the weekend in Lagos, Nigeria.

Miss Harriet Lamptey, Ghana's representative to the prestigious beauty contest won Africa's Top Model title, following an educative and entertaining battle for the covetous crown.

Entirely, she also emerged as the 2nd runner-up at the contest which was full of beauty, glitz and glamour.

Miss Lamptey faced stiff competition from twenty nine (29) other beauty queens representing their respective African countries.

Asmaou Diallo (Miss Guinea) won the ultimate 2018 Miss Pan African Queen crown,  Pamela Thurston (Miss Egypt) took the 1st runner-up crown as Miss Pan African Queen Universe, Lebogang Keakopa (Miss Botswana) emerged 3rd runner up with the Miss Pan African Queen Culture and Tourism crown and Haleema Olawewe (Miss Sudan) took the 4th runner up crown as Miss Pan African Queen Peace and Unity.

This year's event was held at the Pelican Hotel in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. The hosts for the night were comic act Monica Friday, also known as Kevwe of Do Good series on African Magic alongside Star Richie, a spontaneous comedian. The night also saw the Pan African Icon Awards which honored the governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode as African leader of the year.

Miss Lamptey was sponsored by Darkmade Clothing, Afriken by Nana, First Choice Hair and Beauty, as well as the Wellness Spa and Institute.

The annual Miss Pan African Queen International pageant is powered by Supr Trndi Entertainment.

Harriet Lamptey is a graduate of the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She is a model the immediate past 1st runner up of Miss Galaxy Ghana 2017, an SDGs advocate and the reigning Miss Pan African Queen Top Model 2018. Miss Lamptey is the CEO of HertieCare Foundation which seeks to empower and lend a helping hand to young underprivileged people in rural areas.

She is someone who believes in passion, focus, dedication, hardwork, making good use of every opportunity that comes your way and involving God primarily in everything you do. She also hopes to make a difference in her world through pageantry.
