GH’s BIGGEST COMEDY NIGHT RETURNS WITH BOVI!

Consistency! That’s probably one of the many accolades that must be added to the tall list of compliments given to events giants, Charterhouse Productions, if for nothing at all, for their solid resolve and hard work over the last 13 years in ensuring that come what may, we laugh the year away!

It was a laughter party at the Accra International Conference Centre on Boxing Day December 26th 2017 when Africa’s best comedian, Basket Mouth led an elite team of comedians from both Ghana and Nigeria including Acapella, Akpororo, Jacinta, Forster Romanus and others to thrill fans at the funniest night of the year, the Night of 1024 laughs & Music. Undoubtedly it was a great night that left many wanting more from the solid team of comedians with music from Kidi and Kuami Eugene.

As 2018 enters its final month many are eagerly looking forward to yet another night of side-splitting laughter from the brand that has never failed. And come Wednesday December 26th 2018, Ghana’s biggest, most consistent, most exciting and longest running comedy show returns with an even bigger bang than ever before; the night of 1025 Laughs and Music!

Just like other years, organizers Charterhouse Ghana, have promised an overdose of original comedy from the big names outlined to thrill patrons on the night.

Making a return by popular request is the man known by many as Akpororo! The native of Ilaje, Ondo State, Nigeria was born and grew up in Warri, a city in Delta State.

His real name is Jephthah Bowoto and is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in African Comedy with a couple of awards to his name.

But Akpororo’s return to the funniest stage in GH is probably not the biggest news of the night. Starting his career in April 2007, starring in the sitcom Extended Family, which he produced, wrote, and packaged, Bovi Ugboma, known on stage simply as Bovi is arguably the next biggest brand after Basket Mouth in African comedy.

In 2015, Bovi headlined the Night of 1020 laughs alongside other comedy greats and left many craving for a return. This is probably the best time to catch the man on fire live at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Also performing on the night are celebrated rib crackers Seyi Law, Kenny Blaq and a swell team of comedians from GH; Forster Romanus, Jacinta, Lekzy D’Comic and for the first time on the big comedy stage, I.D. James Brown gets set to make a mark alongside musicians Kidi and Ghana’s reigning best gospel act, Joe Mettle.

The Night of 1025 Laughs and Music is scheduled to take place on Wednesday December 26th at the Accra International Conference Centre and you definitely would not want to miss this.
