Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Keche, Efya MzVee, Perform At The COVID-19 Hope For Africa Benefit Concert This Sunday On GOtv

MultiChoice Africa in partnership with One Africa Global Foundation will broadcast a special COVID-19 Hope For Africa concert to help raise funds for medical practitioners and support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa. The concert scheduled to air Sunday, May 31 at 6pm GMT on Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 and GOtv channel 102).

Some of the leading African acts will be performing at the concert. The star-studded line-up includes: Sarkodie (Ghana), Efya (Ghana), Keche (Ghana), 2Baba (Nigeria), Adina (Ghana), Akothee (Kenya), Bombshell (Zambia), Betty G (Ethiopia), CIC (Liberia), Cobhams Asuquo (Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), DJ Spinall (Nigeria), DJ Vivian (Uganda), Eddie Jay (Senegal), Falz (Nigeria), Flavor (Nigeria), Jose Chameleone (Uganda), Ladipoe (Nigeria), Lij Micheal (Ethiopia), Mr 2Kay (Nigeria), Nandy (Tanzania), Nsoki (Angola), , Scientific (Liberia), Shadaya (Zambia), Stonebwoy (Ghana), Tekno (Nigeria), The Ben (Rwanda), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Waje (Nigeria) and Yasirah Bhelz (South Africa).

The Managing Director, MultiChoice Ghana, Cecil Sunkwa-Mills explained why MultiChoice has partnered with One Global Africa Foundation to broadcast the concert. He said, “As Africa's biggest storyteller, we are committed to giving back to the communities where we operate. We are passionate about the development of the African continent as we continue to use the power of entertainment to give hope, enrich lives, and bring people together especially during these uniquely difficult times.”

The One Africa concert will also feature goodwill messages of hope and encouragement by community leaders, health workers and COVID-19 survivors, and will be hosted by Mawuli Gavor, (Ghana) Dakore Egbuson-Akande (Nigeria), Osas Ighodaro (Nigeria), and Wanjira Longauer (Kenya)

All proceeds from the Hope For Africa Benefit Concert will be used as special interventions for accessible, functional medical equipment, COVID testing stations and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to the virus.
