World Cup Action Continues On GOtv With U20 Women’s Edition

Just weeks after the conclusion of Russia 2018, World Cup football kicks off again on the World of Champions with all 32 matches of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup to be broadcast live on DStv and GOtv and across SuperSport’s online and digital platforms.

The biannual tournament kicks off on Sunday 5 August, giving hosts France a unique opportunity to celebrate a second world football title in the space of two months following the men’s victory in Russia in July. Germany, in 2014, are the only nation to have pulled this off.

Home advantage and a runner-up finish in the last instalment of the tournament makes French team, Les Bleuettes genuine title contenders.

Once again, the continent’s hopes rest with Nigeria and Ghana. The Black Princesses (Ghana) and Falconets (Nigeria) have been Africa’s representatives in the last four tournaments with the Falconets finishing as runners-up twice, in 2010 and 2014.

The tournament kicks off on Sunday 5th August at 11:15 am as Mexico versus Brazil. Catch it live on SuperSport 10 (DStv) and SuperSport Select 1(GOtv). The Balck Princesses from Ghana will take on the French team also on Sunday from 5pm which also be live in SuperSport Channel 210.

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car. Sponsored by PayPorte, the program will run for 78 days, starting 22 January 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised launch and end on 9 April 2017 with a two-hour, live, televised finale.
