MTN HITMAKER SEASON 6 MAKES FIRST EVICTION

It all came down to the D-day as the final 16 who after weeks of going through various audition stages and intense training, had their first ever live performance with a live band on Tuesday 12th august at the national theater.

The final 16, d forina, Fati, Shadey, Freda, drew, josh, Krymi, Kwesi Taadi, Veana, Evey, Xali, Yaw Berk, Qwo-djo, Nana Addo, B.ryt, Gilda and, battled it out as they were paired to perform to the judges, the studio audience and the general viewing public in a bid to impress them (the judges especially) to guarantee them a spot in the next stage of the competition.

The judges for the 6th season who had the sole task of determining who makes it through and who leaves the competition, television and radio host Caroline Sampson, celebrated award winning music producer Kaywa and finally, entertainment critic, Francis Doku were present, ready for a night of great display of talent.

When asked by the host of the show, radio/television host, Berla mundi and Giovani Caleb their expectations for the night, as it was the first time they were meeting the contestants, the judges said they were very hopeful of an amazing season.

After all the 16 contestants have had the chance to perform, the judges, after careful deliberations decided that it was gilda, nana addo, b.ryt and veana who did not impress them enough, hence were evicted from the competition.

the beat makers, Richie Mensah, Magnum and DJ Breezy were invited on stage to ballot for the 4 contestants each out of the remaining 12 that they will be working with throughout the competition.

Magnum mentors rnb singers, qwo-djo and drew, rappers,Kwesi Taadi and yaw berk as Dj breezy takes on rappers, Freda and d forina, rnb singers evey and josh. Richie, for the rest of the competition, mentors, rnb singers, fati, shadey and Krymi, together with reggae dancehall act, xali.

Mtn Hitmaker airs on television on Saturdays on ghone tv and metro tv respectively. Sundays on utv at 3pm, tv3 at 5pm, 4syte tv, tv7 and Atinka tv at 6pm and joy prime at 5pm.

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). MultiChoice is bringing back the Nigerian version of the series after 10 years. It had announced after the last edition of BBA that each African country will stage the show henceforth. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car.
