Over the years since its maiden edition, the MTN Hitmaker has been one of the most consistent and rewarding music reality tv shows which has produced amazing talent making giant strides in the Ghanaian music industry; Kurlsongs, Kidi, Kwame Eugene, koo Ntakra are among the few who joined the Hitmaker train and are doing exceptionally well in the industry.
When the call was made few weeks ago to begin the search for the next Hitmaker, well over thousand two hundred hopefuls responded but of course just a few were chosen for the face to face audition with the panel which eventually saw 24 outstanding talents selected for boot camp.
The 24 contestants had the opportunity to undergo intensive training at their three-day boot camp at holy trinity spa and health farm at Sogakofe. They were taken through voice training, stagecraft and performance, communication skills, unique selling points, just to mention a few. In a nutshell, they were prepared fully for the live stage performance of the competition.
Even though all 24 contestants had incredible talents, the panel still had the tough job of selecting 16 to go through the next phase of the competition.
The final audition happened at the charterhouse studio where the 24 contestants had one of the most fiercely contested audition for a slot in the final 16.
