Big Brother Nigeria 2017 Auditions Concluded!!

MultiChoice Nigeria has concluded its search for participants in the upcoming Big Brother Naija reality TV show. The auditions which held in Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt, witnessed an impressive turn out of Big Brother Naija hopefuls. Caroline Oghuma, Public Relations, Manager, MultiChoice, expressed her delight at the abundance of talent displayed during the auditions. She noted that the Big Brother reality show is about providing a platform to showcase people from different walks of life, creating an avenue for talent to be spotted and ultimately propelling people into super stardom. The Big Brother Naija reality TV show starts in January 2017 and will air on dedicated channels on DStv and for the first time, GOtv Plus.

Relebogile Mabotja To Host Solid Gold On 702 This Saturday From 1 - 4pm

SAFTA and SAMA award winning actress and singer, musical director, newly appointed youngest SAMRO board member ever, and radio host, Relebogile Mabotja, is set to fill in for Alex Jay tomorrow and host the highly popular weekend music show, Solid Gold, from 1pm until 4pm. Known to be a talk show radio host, this will be the first time Relebogile Mabotja will be hosting a music format radio show. “I’m looking forward to hosting 702’s Solid Gold show tomorrow. I love music and have surprisingly never hosted a music radio show before. Can’t wait for the challenge and having fun whilst interacting with listeners and enjoying our favourite golden oldies” expresses Relebogile Mabotja. Relebogile Mabotja is currently 702’s new Early Breakfast show host. After honing her craft on the station for a period of 18 months, she took over the Early Breakfast show in October this year and 702 listeners are now waking up to her vivacious personality and on air charisma.

BASS Awards Announces 2016 Nominees; Samini, Stonebwoy, Rocky Dawuni, Ras Kuuku In Running For Topmost Prize

Organizers of the annual Bass Awards have announced nominees for various honours at the widely-anticipated event which comes off this month. Popular reggae/ dancehall acts Samini, Stonebwoy, Rocky Dawuni, Ras Kuuku, and Knit Lante are all in the running for the most coveted prize; The Kwame Nkrumah Award. Other acts as Fancy Gadam, Ebony, MzVee, AK Songstess, and Epixode also secured nomination in various other categories. This year’s selection committee consists  Empress Lomo of Radio Gold, King Lagazee of Hitz FM, Fiifi Selah of Pluzz FM and Nana Dubwise a producer at Pluzz FM and deejay. For this year, special efforts were made to expand he base of the scheme in order to meet rapid dynamism in the industry. Dennis Cobblah Emerges Winner At Y FM’s ‘The One’ Reality Show

A 26 year old graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Dennis Cobblah, has emerged winner of the most innovative radio reality show organized by YFM. Dennis beat off competition from nine other contestants who entered the competition yearning to be ‘The One’. The final race involved the final three contestants hosting the Top 20 Countdown show on YFM at different days for the public to vote for the best amongst the three. Dennis’ sterling performance in the finals and throughout the competition endeared him to the voting public. Sharing his excitement after the competition, Dennis said, “I entered the competition because I believe YFM can help me hone my radio skills and that’s exactly what I got after going through this competition. After months of speculation, nominations for the 59th Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live on February 12, 2017, is finally out! Top nominees are Boyonce, Drake, Rihanna, Kanye West and Chance The Rapper. Beyonce, without doubt, lived up to expectations with nine (9) nominations in the most enviable categories including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
