Media General To Provide Full Media Support For Music For Good Category Winner


The Music for Good Category (formerly Music for Development) of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is a honorary award presented to an artiste(s) using a song / music video to address a societal problem. The artiste must have released a song for the cause within the year under review.

Media General will support the winner to ensure his/her  message reaches many people across their platforms including TV3, 3FM, Connect FM, Onua FM, Onua TV, 3News, social media, and Internet portals.

Mr Francis Doku, General Manager of MG TV, said “we believe that as a media business we need to influence society positively by being first in news and best in entertainment. Music for Good and everything it represents sits within this goal. We are therefore happy to support the winner to carry out their project and related activities to increase the impact."

No 'Shower Hour' On Big Brother Naija - Says MultiChoice

As preparations are in top gear for the second edition of social reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria, organisers have revealed that there will be no broadcast of nude footage called ‘Shower Hour’, when the show returns on January 22, 2017. This comes to some fans as ‘decent’, following the controversies generated by that segment of the show, during the now rested continental edition, Big Brother Africa (BBA). MultiChoice is bringing back the Nigerian version of the series after 10 years. It had announced after the last edition of BBA that each African country will stage the show henceforth. Renamed Big Brother Naija, the show will have 12 housemates who will compete for the prize of N25 million and a brand new KIA Sorento car.
