MISS GHANA UK FOUNDATION APPOINTS TALENT SCOUT AND BUSINESS DEVELOPER AS THE CEO

Following discussions and broader consultations, the directors and stakeholders of Miss Ghana UK are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Ed Edinkrah as the CEO of the foundation. 

The new and first CEO, with immeasurable credentials and accolades, is now part of the executive team which runs the foundation’s activities. Mr Ed Edinkrah will be involved in all executive matters and have a full oversight of the foundation and other related subsidiaries.

The Miss Ghana UK brand has been in existence for over two decades and has been running a charitable foundation which was established to officially continue its not-for-profit duty to the deprived in society. 

The Miss Ghana UK Foundation was launched 16 years ago and has been registered to operate as a non-governmental organisation to expand its contribution to the betterment of deprived Ghanaians locally and internationally.

Ed Edinkrah ,who has served in various capacities in the arts, culture and entertainment industry and has over fifteen years of experience (locally and internationally), was singled out due to his professionalism, philanthropy, transparency, accountability and his respect for equitability . He has contributed generously to the activities of the Miss Ghana UK brand “as well as the foundation” before his appointment.

The entire body of the organization undoubtedly deem him fit for purpose.  Upon accepting this position, Mr. Edinkrah mentioned how humbling it is to be in a position that assists in helping, giving hope, and contributing to the deprived in our communities. He expressed his gratitude to the directors and stakeholders and promised to perform his duties to the best of his ability. He also mentioned that his intentions are to:

Develop the socio-human capital of Ghana by improving the quality of people's lives through appropriate and sustainable social interventions in identified areas.

Have a broad community impact and support national and international development priorities.

Scout for volunteers to support the policies of the foundation.

Help in mobilizing and soliciting for funds to effectively support the activities of the foundation

Engage parliamentarians, government, business individuals and other NGOs to partner for specific projects.

Per that intention, Mr. Edinkrah paid a courtesy call to Honourable Dr. Okoe Boye and the Wayamo Africa Director, Mr. Joseph Roberts-Mensah, as a starting point for his comprehensive plan to build the human capital and harness all resources to ensure there is sustenance for the agenda of the foundation.
