#RESCUEMISSION : 2018 Ghana Meets Naija Mega Concert Launches Today

The 8th annual Ghana Meets Naija mega concert, widely touted as the biggest West African show, will be launched 3pm today live on Live 91.9FM.

Put together by Empire, the launch comes off at the First Atlantic Bank, #47 Patrice Lumumba Road, Airport Residential Area, (Opposite National Service Secratariat), Accra.

This year’s edition, dubbed the “Rescue Mission”, has been hugely anticipated for several weeks, and is expected to parade bona fide artists from Ghana and Nigeria.

Last year, the event saw Shatta Wale being crowned king.  It remains to be seen if he retains the title this year. Falz, M.anifest, Tiwa Savage, and Davido all performed on the night.

Regularly looked forward to, it has constantly served as the ultimate platform for the West African countries to execute our longstanding sibling rivalry in the area of music. Ghana and Nigeria have a lot in common musically, and constantly collaborate on projects.

The Ghana Meets Naija Concert has since its institution,  provided opportunity for both countries to celebrate the diverse sounds which unify us at the same time.

Wizkid, Sarkodie, Naeto C, R2Bees and a host of other major African names have all performed at previous events.

More soon…
