Charterhouse Holds National Women's Summit On March 8

At the heart of the Ghanaian society is the WOMAN. Ghanaian Women are the Soul of the Home and Community and the Role we play in decisions regarding the Home, Family, Corporations, Business, Government and the Society at large,  is central to the Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

Ghanaian Women have gone through changing roles over the years, from marginalization to the struggle for recognition of the importance of Women’s role in society, to the Equal rights era and now, the 21st Century Ghanaian Woman has come of age.

Today we see women rising to the top of organizations as CEOs and Board Members of Corporations as well as Leading Entrepreneurs, Business Women, Governance and Leadership.

60years after Independence, the Ghanaian Woman has come of age and is embracing all aspects of her potential. Though great advances have been made over the past 60years, there’s still much more to be done to improve the lot of the GHANAIAN WOMAN and to give opportunity for her to explore her fullest potential.

Hence the idea of the NATIONAL WOMEN’S SUMMIT. This will be the GHANA’S BIGGEST WOMEN’S EVENT.

The first Ever NATIONAL WOMEN’S SUMMIT which is being organised in celebration of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY on 8th MARCH 2017, worldwide will take place at the ACCRA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE from 9am to 5pm.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY is celebrated all over the world as a special day to celebrate and recognize the important role of Women in Societies all around the World. In Ghana there has not necessarily been a national celebration of the day, but rather smaller celebrations held by organisations in recognition of the day.

We believe that in the light of the growing impact and significance of Women in Ghanaian society across all levels, it is time for a National Celebration of the Day, hence this initiative.

Attendance is FREE but Pre-registration needs to be done at www.womensworldghana.com

Of course wherever women gather, there should be an opportunity to shop. So running alongside the Summit will be a mini 1-day expo of Women in Business, with carefully selected exhibitions ranging from unique Food concepts  to specialised Fashion and Beauty.

Its truly an exciting time to be a woman and the Summit promises to inspire and motivate Women to explore their fullest potential at work, home, in our communities and the Nation.

THE NATIONAL WOMEN’S SUMMIT is organized by Ghana’s Leading Events Management and Production Company – CHARTERHOUSE in partnership with JOY FM and ACCESS W Initiative and supported by the EXECUTIVE WOMEN NETWORK, BUSINESS & FINANCIAL TIMES and WOMEN RISING.
