OWNER OF BUSTLING DRINKING SPOT ‘CONTAINER’ NARRATES HER EXPERIENCE WITH GUINNESS GHANA ‘YEN NYIN BOM’ LOYALTY PROGRAMME
Container Spot is a popular joint at Osu, in Accra. Every ‘night owl’ knows the lively spot that attracts both the young and old, especially at night.
At a time when the hospitality and tourism sector is looking to get back on its feet after easing of restrictions that came about because of the COVID pandemic, Guinness Ghana has come to the rescue – through its refreshed loyalty programme, ‘Yen Nyin Mbom’.
In the spirit of renewing its commitment to help businesses thrive, Guinness Ghana has rewarded some of its loyal stakeholders, among them, the famous Container Spot which stands as a key beneficiary.
For over 20 years, Mrs Philomina Tandoh, the brain behind Container Spot has brought happy moments to many family and friends through her business operation, and Guinness Ghana recognised her hard work.
In an effort to escape boredom as a house wife, Mrs. Tandoh decided to start her business from humble beginnings to this thriving venture where it is counted amongst the most recommended and ‘lit’ bars in Accra.
After running the business for several years, she heard about the Yen Nyin Mbom loyalty programme in 2019 through the Guinness Ghana sales representatives in her area.
Narrating her experience, she said “With ‘Yen Nyin Mbom’ you have to register and sell a certain percentage of your products. I sold that percentage and the first prize I received was 10 cases of drinks, then a cash prize of GHS400 and a television set”.
“I was very elated when I won these prizes from Guinness Ghana. For business growth, I entreat all distributors and retailers to join the ‘Yen Nyin Mom’ train to enable us all grow our business together”, she added.
Yɛn Nyin Mbom, an initiative to renew Guinness Ghana’s commitment to customer profitability, rewards customers for their outstanding sales performance and innovative ways of ensuring that products reach their cherished consumers.
Commenting on the initiative, Sylvia Owusu-Ankomah, Corporate Relations Director said, “Yɛn Nyin Mbom,” when translated from Twi to English means ‘Let’s Grow Together’. As the only total beverage company in Ghana, Guinness Ghana has been in existence for 60 years and everything we do is inspired by the needs of our customers.
We designed this initiative specifically for our customers who are the key distributors, wholesalers and retailers, to enable and encourage business growth and achieve profitability. I happy that Mrs. Tandoh is among thousands of others winners across the region that benefited”.
