Starr FM Church Olympics Comes Off This Saturday

The third edition of Starr FM’s Church Olympics comes off this Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at the El- Wak Sports Stadium. The annual event will witness over ten renowned churches compete each other for honours and will be engaged in pre-games aerobics with renowned physical instructors. Registered churches will participate in games such as, basketball, football, table tennis, sack race among others with all participants going home with souvenirs from sponsors. The churches registered so far for the event are; Reign of Jesus Chapel, Apostolic Faith Mission, Winners Chapel, Over Comers General Intercessory, Osu Ebenezer Presby Church, King of Zion Ministries, St. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, The Lord’s Pentecostal International Church Interested Churches who want to participate in the one day fun filled event are expected to do so before June 2.

#GhanaMeetsNaija18 Bound Wizkid Sells Out 20, 000 London O2 Arena

One of Africa's main acts for this year’s Ghana Meets Naija concert, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid made history on Saturday (26/05/2018) when he performed to some 20, 000 people at The 02 Arena, London, which has also hosted the likes of Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry in the past. The historic feat happened months after he sold out the Royal Albert Hall, also in London. Dubbed Afrorepublik, it also hosted other mainstream acts including Mr Eazi, who is on this year’s Ghana Meets Naija bill. Over 5000 people are expected to attend the June 9 event at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, La, Accra. Dubbed the “Rescue Mission”, this year’s Ghana Meets Naija will witness  performances from Stonebwoy, who is famed for his outstanding live gigs, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Patapaa, Fancy Gadam, and Mayorkun, organisers say. New Breed Of Christians Emerge In Accra

A NEW breed of Christians determined to use Christianity to raise God-fearing politicians, businessmen, music and film stars, have emerged at St. John’s, a suburb of Accra. AFRIMA Entry Submission Opens Today For Africa Day Commemoration

Following the recent unveiling of calendar of activities for the 2018 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Accra, Ghana, which included a courtesy visit to the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by officials of African Union, International Committee of AFRIMA and African music stars, entry submissions for the annual continental music awards opens today, Friday, May 25 in commemoration of Africa Day. Nobody : Stevein Oil Drops His Latest Single

Gospel artiste Stevein Oil has released his much-awaited ‘Nobody Dey’ single. The song is themed on giving adoration to God and extoling his attributes. It also emphasises the fact that there is no one greater than God, hence he deserves to be worshipped. ‘Nobody Dey’ was produced by Enock Owuraku Kissi and mixed Shadrack Yawson, popularly known as Shaa. 4th Forum For African Women Political Leaders At Yale University

The fourth “Forum for Strategic Impact” has begun. World Trade Centre Accra Leads Successful Trade Mission To The Netherlands

The World Trade Centre Accra (WTCA) has concluded a 8-day trade mission to the Netherlands as part of its effort to promote trade and investment between the two countries and advance Ghanaian business interests in the region.  The trade delegation comprised of 26 representatives from Ghanaian businesses and government agencies.  The successful trade mission provided the attendees with an opportunity to interact with Dutch companies to learn innovative technologies in the water, energy, health, food and agriculture, and real estate sectors.  It also provided them with access to B2B matchmaking sessions which resulted in three participants signing business deals on the spot.  The trade mission took place during the World Trade Centers Association General Assembly Meeting held in Leeuwarden and Amsterdam, Netherlands from April 22-28, 2018.

Golden Movie Awards Africa 2018 Slated For June 2

The annual Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA) organized to celebrate distinguished film makers will hold June 2, 2018 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. The red carpet starts at 4:00 pm while the show starts at 7:30pm. With barely three weeks to the event, the organizers say the event will bring together film makers across the continent to celebrate and award deserving film makers. Meanwhile the nomination announcement will be held in Cote d’Ivoire on the 20th of May 2018 where the various categories of the qualified films will be announced. The 8th annual Ghana Meets Naija mega concert, widely touted as the biggest West African show, will be launched 3pm today live on Live 91.9FM. Put together by Empire, the launch comes off at the First Atlantic Bank, #47 Patrice Lumumba Road, Airport Residential Area, (Opposite National Service Secratariat), Accra.
