Discovery Model Receives Nokia 7 Plus At Accra Men’s Fashion Week 2018

As part of the Runway Show was an awards Segment to acknowledge and recognize Models and Designers who have demonstrated creativity, talent and commitment to their profession.  On the night, Nokia Phones awarded Prince Henry who was adjudged the Discovery Model for 2018 with a Nokia 7 Plus phone from HMD Global, home of Nokia Phones. Guinness, 9 Others Sweep Top Awards At Ghana Beverage Awards

Ten companies were last Friday honoured at the second edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA) held at the Swiss Spirit (Alisa) Hotel in Accra. Guinness Foreign Extra Stout (FES), was adjudged Product of the Year and Beer of the Year while Manufacturer of the year went to Coca Cola Bottling Company. Fruit Juice of the year went to Blue Skies and Energy Drink of the year was swept by Storm Energy. GBA is an awards scheme which aims at honouring excelling beverage stakeholders in Ghana for their contribution to the country’s economy. The CEO of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Ernest Boateng, revealed in his speech that, “It is evident that there are exciting times ahead for the Ghana Beverage industry and as a company, we see a very positive outlook in the coming year”.

Zylofon Cash on Friday June 22, 2018, gave a cash amount of $10,000 as the company’s contribution to sponsor the Drama and Debating Club of Akwamuman Senior High School (SHS), to represent Ghana at the South African National Arts Festival to be held in Grahams Town, South Africa from Thursday, June 28th 2018, to Sunday, July 8th, 2018. Akwamuman SHS qualified to represent Ghana at the international festival after its Drama Club emerged as overall winners at the Broadway Drama Festival held in November 2017 in November 2017 but has since not been able to raise the full amount to cater for the trip. Zylofon Cash received an official letter requesting for sponsorship for the trip and the company responded positively by giving the school the cash amount of $10,000. MultiChoice Ghana Secures Injunction On Fly TV’s Unauthorized Broadcast Of 2018 FIFA World Cup

The broadcast industry in Ghana continues to battle with the issue of illegal broadcast of unauthorized content by many TV and Radio stations. One sector greatly hit by this menace is the sports industry where some local TV stations have been airing international sporting events without going through the process required to acquire the necessary rights for the territories they operate in. MultiChoice Ghana, operators of DStv and GOtv and agents of SuperSport International, has secured an injunction barring Nour Vision, operators of Fly TV from airing the FIFA World Cup in Ghana as they have not acquired the broadcast rights to the global soccer fiesta in Ghana neither on Pay-Tv nor Free to Air. Checks from the official list of authorized broadcasters for Ghana for the World Cup and some other properties do not list FLY TV or Nour Vison as rights holders not just in Ghana but across Sub-Saharan Africa. Newly unveiled artiste, signed to U & I Music, Olakira; makes a debut into the Nigerian music scene with the release of two singles titled Hey Lover and Flirty Signal. Joselyn Dumas & Bovi Set To Announce The Nominees For 2018 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards

Nominees for the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) will be announced via a televised broadcast on all Africa Magic channels on DStv and GOtv on Saturday, 30 June at 6pm GMT. The nominees for each category will be revealed by popular Ghanaian actress and TV host, Joselyn Dumas and Nigerian comedian and actor, Bovi. The 2018 AMVCAs is brought to viewers across the continent by Africa Magic in association with MultiChoice Africa and the sponsors, Airtel and Konga. Speaking on the milestone telecast, Channel Director, Africa Magic, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, revealed that close to 3000 entries were received across the continent.
